fishing adventures

After Anne Lawson caught it, Holland smooches a bream before letting it go.

Anne Lawson's focus paid off as she outfished everyone.

Holland let Daddy pose with her first catch.
Wells gets ready to reel in his first fish.
Most people know that if you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, he will become immediately adept at exaggerating  stories about the fish he caught.  This holds true for little Wells.  While he did manage to reel in a couple of nice catfish, each time he tells the story, the number of fish caught continues to grow.  In the latest version, he is up to five.

scholarship golf

For the third consecutive year, the kids showed up to participate in the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club's golf tournament to support scholarships.

Anne Lawson works on her contact.  The aiming part will come during the next lesson.

Holland is clearing her hips a little early, but doing a good job of keeping her eyes on the ball through impact.

Wells focuses hard to knock down a two footer.

more do dah day '08

There were plenty of interesting characters to hold Wells and Bo's attention.

Anne Lawson did a fine job of keeping Bleu on a short leash.

do dah day '08

Anne Lawson and Dargin wait patiently to be taken to the Do Dah Day Parade.
Holland decides she needs a few more items from the grocery...
Wells and Bo get tired of waiting and head to the parade.

saturday morning at the zoo

Wells was not quite as interested in running in the kids' race as he was about driving the tractor.

Holland and Anne Lawson proudly display their medals from the race on a celebratory carousel ride.

Anne Lawson tees it up and calls her shot.

Following through is the key...

You can't hit 'em all.

Holland chokes up to make sure she gets it in play.

Wells and Anne Lawson practice their chatter..."hey batter, batter, batter"

art in the park

Che Che and Landon joined us for Art in the Park back in April (boy it has been a long time since Daddy blogged).  The art was interesting, but most of our time was spent in the fountain.
