cake time

Holland has a hard time choosing her cake over her passie.

Anne Lawson meticulously samples her icing; careful not to get any on her birthday dress.

After some practice on Friday, Wells knows exactly how to handle his cake.

...and a "Touchdown Auburn" to celebrate his victory!

milestone photo

It's hard to believe it has been a year since these three were born.

lots of presents

Mommy tells Wells just how excited he is about getting a cute new outfit.

Holland actually takes time to read through the birthday cards.

A.L. uses her teeth to get into the action.

puppet show

Thanks to cousins Michelle, Rachel and Kathleen, and good buddy Rhys for putting on a great puppet show at the birthday party.

ONE already!

The kids enjoy some treats from V. Richards on their actual day (10/20).

Anne Lawson delicately selects the marshmallow ghost from atop her cupcake, causing minimal damage to the icing.

Wells tries to inhale the entire cupcake.
"Yes, I ate the whole thing, including the paper. You got a problem with that."

Holland is not quite as aggressive as Wells, but does not mind getting messy.

birthday privilege

Holland thinks because it is her birthday, that she can ride in the back of the car.

girlies girlies everywhere

Sadie and Hollis visit from Atlanta. Wells wastes no time trying to get his hands on them before going on a walk.

babies need shoes

The babies got their first pairs of shoes on Monday.

Holland has moved beyond taking a few steps at a time to becoming a toddler.

Anne Lawson has a tough time deciding which pair she likes best.
The white ones were the winners.

Wells sports his extra wides.

Mommy, Holland and Aunt Fletcher's smiles make a sunny day even brighter.

its great to be an Auburn Tiger

Holland enjoyed her first trip to an SEC game, despite the fact the Tigers were no where to be found. This picture was taken just before kickoff, when Mommy still had something to smile about.
Yes, it was a long day and Holland had no trouble snoozing on the way home. Hopefully, she will awaken to remember the debacle on the football field as just a bad dream. I know Daddy is hoping to wake up to realize it was only a nightmare.

last day on the beach

The whole fam soaks in the final few minutes of sunshine on our last day at the beach.

over here

Getting four infants to "pose" for the same picture is quite a feat, but this one turned out great. A.L. Holland, Wells, and Barrett made the most of their last day at the beach, staying out until the sun went down. What you cannot see in this picture is just how entertaining the adults were with their wildy, flagrant efforts toward getting the kids to smile.
Bo and Bleu were just happy to be included on the trip.

beach bums

The crystal clear gulf waters were inviting enough for Holland to crawl right in. There is little or no fear in this child.
Anne Lawson takes a more reserved spot several feet away from the gently breaking waves. She did warm up to the gulf waters later on, as long as contact with mommy or daddy was maintained.

Hey Ladies! Check me out over here under the umbrella.
